Compliance

The standard we hold ourselves to before anyone asks

Physical gold carries real risk — of illicit origin, sanctions exposure and undocumented movement. Our controls are designed so that every transaction can be explained, evidenced and defended years later.

Framework

Six controls applied to every deal

Counterparty onboarding

Corporate documents, beneficial ownership, licences and authorised signatories are collected and verified before any transaction is discussed commercially.

Sanctions & PEP screening

Entities and individuals are screened against international sanctions and politically exposed person lists at onboarding and re-screened periodically.

Source of metal

We require evidence of origin, extraction or acquisition and lawful export. Parcels from conflict-affected or high-risk sources receive enhanced due diligence or are declined.

Source of funds

Buyers evidence the lawful origin of settlement funds, with payments accepted only through recognised banking channels in the contracting entity's name.

Chain-of-custody records

Assay certificates, weights, seal numbers, photographs, transport documents and outturn statements are retained as a single auditable file per transaction.

Ongoing monitoring

Transaction patterns, routings and counterparty behaviour are reviewed, and anything inconsistent with the agreed profile is escalated internally before it proceeds.

Boundaries

Business we turn down

Declining well is part of the job. The following will end a discussion regardless of size or margin.

  • Metal without credible, documented origin
  • Parcels linked to conflict finance or illegal mining
  • Cash settlement or payment from unrelated third parties
  • Counterparties refusing standard due diligence
  • Routings that cannot be lawfully cleared and insured

Requests

Due diligence packs

Refineries, banks, insurers and institutional counterparties can request our corporate and compliance documentation directly. Packs are shared on a named basis with a defined recipient, and we expect the same standard in return.
